Falkenbach is the one-woman black metallic element project of multi-instrumentalist Vratyas Vakyas (once guitarist with Crimson Gates), wHO is based in Düsseldorf, Germany, but reportedly hails from Iceland, and subscribes to the genre's more than epical style, prevailing with keyboards, Viking themes, and folks music tendencies (a possible grounds for making up those unconfirmed Icelandic roots). Active under the Falkenbach assumed diagnose since 1995, when no less than threesome demos dead emerged (Laeknishendr, Skinn Av Sverdhi Sol Valtiva, Asynja), Vakyas recorded iI albums in 1996's ...En Their Medh Riki Fara and 1997's ...Magni Blandinn Ok Megintiri, before turn his attention to his record brand Skaldic Art Productions. He ultimately revived Falkenbach in 2003 and really drafted early musicians (vocalizer Tyrann, guitar musician Hagalaz, and drummer Bolthorn) to help oneself tabu with third base album Ok Nefna Tysbar Ty, but he was bet on to his solo shipway by the discharge of its redirect examination, Heralding the Fireblade, in 2005.

Converse Launch Kurt Cobain, Grateful Dead Shoes

Converse are celebrating their 100 year anniversary by selling four limited edition shoes, featuring Kurt Cobain and the Grateful Dead.

The Fall 2008 Footwear Collection will apparently "celebrate the brand's iconic presence throughout the last ten decades and undeniable influence on pop culture", reads a press release.

Here are photos of all four shoes - article continues underneath.

Each act will be the subject of two pairs of shoes, with Grateful Dead's retailling at $40 - $70 (sold from June) and Cobain's homage costing $50 - $65 (available now). The shoes will be sold in the US at Journeys stores.

Scott Patt, Converse Global Footwear Creative Director, says of the decision to select the two musical figures: "As we continue into the second half of the Converse Century with our Fall 2008 Footwear Collection, we celebrate the originals who have never been afraid to disrupt the status quo."

"They are the renegades of sound, the league-changers, champions of underachievement, the paint drippers and those with flawless style. These pioneers follow what's inside and do what they believe to be right. They are the ones who have created the last 100 years of Converse history and will be the ones to define the next 100 years."

Peter Bogdanovich - Bogdanovich Oneal Will Recover From Drug Troubles

LATEST: Actress TATUM O'NEAL will "pull through" her recent drug troubles, according to director PETER BOGDANOVICH.

The Oscar-winning former child star - who chronicled her recovery from a heroin addiction in her 2004 book A Paper Life - was spotted by a narcotics team exchanging money with a man three blocks from her home in the Big Apple earlier this week (begs02Jun08).

The 44-tear-old was charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a misdemeanour.

But Bogdanovich - who directed her in her Oscar winning turn in Paper Moon - is adamant she will bounce back.

He tells People.com, "She said she was clean and happy to be doing the show (Rescue Me).

"She's a strong woman and has been through a lot. She's a good girl. She's had some tough breaks."

"I'm sure she can (recover). She has a strong spirituality. She should pull out of it."

Dr Phil scraps Britney Spears show

Television psychologist Dr Phil McGraw has scrapped plans to air a show about troubled pop singer Britney Spears after he was criticised for visiting her while she was in hospital.
McGraw visited Spears at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, after she was admitted for an evaluation following a custody dispute at her home.
Several other counsellors later accused the therapist of breaching the singer's privacy by visiting her at the hospital.
However, McGraw said yesterday, in an interview with 'The Early Show', that he visited Spears "at the request of her family".
He claimed that the singer's mother, sister and brother "were very frustrated that she apparently wasn't going to be held (in hospital) for a longer period of time."
McGraw said that he had planned to tape a show on yesterday, stressing that the show would not have explored the tabloid side of Spears' problems, but instead would have focused on other issues surrounding her case.
"Clearly, it is not just Britney's family struggling to find a way to protect adult children who cannot be ordered or compelled to seek help," he said.
The television psychologist also said: "Because the Spears situation is too intense at this time, and out of consideration to the family, I have made the decision not to move forward with the taping."
McGraw said that details of his visit to Spears would remain private.
The singer was released from hospital at the weekend.
